Cathedral Admissions Information

Applying for admission as an incoming 9th grader:

1. Schedule your son to take the placement exam
2. Your son will be interviewed after the exam
3. Admission decision is conditional on successful completion of 8th grade year

Applying for admission as an incoming 10th or 11th grader:

1. Schedule your son to take the placement exam
2. You must bring a copy of his high school transcript, to be evaluated while he tests
3. Your son will be interviewed after the exam
4. Admission decision is conditional on successful completion of current high school year

Applying for admission as an incoming 12th grader:

1. Schedule your son to take the placement exam
2. You must bring a copy of his high school transcript, to be evaluated while he tests
3. Your son will be interviewed after the exam by the Principal
4. Admission decision is conditional on successful completion of current high school year

Once accepted you would begin the registration process at the Attendance office by filling out the student demographic form and emergency medical contact form.  You will need the following paper work as well:

1. Copy of current immunization record
2. Copy of Birth Certificate
3. Copy of Social Security Card
4. International students will need to see Mrs Flores for the I-20 process
5. A physical exam is required for all new students, before they start school

Then you will proceed to the Finance office:

1. The payment of the $400 registration/building fee is due at the time of registration
2. The options for the tuition contract will be discussed with you at this time. A voided check would be necessary as well if going through the FACTS program.
3. Information about financial aid will also be discussed and made available. Financial aid is limited. Applications are available by the middle January for the following school year. However, the registration process is not complete without a tuition contract.

The scheduling of classes begins in April with registered students.  Those students that register later will be scheduled as room is available.  Advanced courses reach capacity quickly, so early registration is highly encouraged.
