Securities are often transferred to Cathedral High School. The value of a gift of securities is the mean market value on the date the security is relinquished by the donor.

For Securities Held by a Brokerage

Please inform your bank or broker of your gift intentions. You or your broker should immediately call the Cathedral High School Advancement Office at (915) 532-3238 to discuss the transfer to the School.

Do not instruct your banker or broker to sell the securities for your account and forward the proceeds to Cathedral High School. This transaction would represent a cash contribution and you would be liable for capital gains tax.
