United States Supreme court case in the area of civil rights. Read the
Court's opinion. Briefly summarize the facts of the case, the constitutional
question(s) presented, the holding of the Court, and the reasoning for
that holding. Do you agree with they manner in which the Court decided
that particular case? Why or why not?
2. Using Web resources, compare the struggle for civil rights of African Americans with the struggle of Hispanics and women. Which group has made the most progress and which group the least? Which group has the farthest to go today? 3. Locate Web sites associated with other claims for civil rights, including those of the disabled, those with alternative lifestyles, and those seeking protection from discrimination based on appearance. Should their rights be protected more than they are today? Why or why not?
